Transforming the System
|
We want all children to have healthy futures. This means ensuring a strong foundation early in life for all the growth and development that follows. After years of investing in and cultivating a partner network designed to improve the health and well-being of all children 0-8 in Coös County, New Hampshire. Since 2021, we’ve used a countywide systems plan to align goals, reduce duplication, and turn good intentions into shared practices. In 2025, we refreshed the plan (“Version 2.0”) to focus on what’s working now and to set clear measures through 2027. The Coös Early Childhood System Plan is designed to build on the strength of established partner relationships. It uses the collective action approach to develop shared outcomes and strategies that, when implemented, will lead to a coordinated, sustainable system of supports.

What Changed in Version 2.0
- We organized our work into six priorities with clear aims and measures.
- We streamlined activities to reduce duplication and emphasize shared workflows (screening, referral handoffs, family navigation).
- We aligned professional learning with day-to-day routines, not stand-alone trainings.
- We clarified partner roles (e.g., Directors Network takes point on child care quality/workforce; the Coalition stays a strategic convener).
